Cancer now effects 1 in 2 people in the UK, meaning that there is a good chance that everyone reading this has either unfortunately had it, or has had a friend or loved one effected by one of the many different types of the dreadful disease. Macmillan provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience. They are there to provide emotional, practical, physical, and financial support. It's such a worth charity, that unfortunately many of us will come into contact with at some point in our lives. So where we do we come in.... Well, we decided that playing 18 holes of golf on a Saturday at Wrotham Heath golf club is just not enough, and so have signed up two teams for the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge.... surely an easy feat with 8 high performing athletes, who put physical excellence before pints of Guinness and Madri...or is that the other way around… Our team of 4 are: The Wrotham Heath Wanderers II Paul Clarke - Bad back and IBS, what can go wrong.
