This year, as Hinckley GC Junior Captain I’m proud (and a little nervous!) to be taking part in the Macmillan Cancer Support Longest Day Golf Challenge on 25th July 2025 —a test of endurance, commitment, and compassion. The challenge? Four rounds of golf in one day—that’s 72 holes, hundreds of swings, and miles of walking from dawn to dusk. Why am I doing this? Because cancer doesn’t rest, and neither can we. Macmillan Cancer Support provides crucial care and assistance to people living with cancer—offering everything from emotional guidance to practical and financial help. Their work is a lifeline for so many individuals and families navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives. This challenge is my way of giving something back. Whether you’ve personally been affected by cancer or know someone who has, you understand how vital this kind of support can be. I’ll be pushing myself physically and mentally throughout the day, but every step (and swing) will be worth it if it helps raise funds and awareness for this incredible cause.
