Our total
Your team total includes offline and JustGiving income but excludes Gift Aid.
Any donations that haven't been raised directly through the official Longest Day Golf fundraising page or JustGiving may not show on the leaderboard or individual fundraising pages but will still count towards the overall competition total.
Cancer now effects 1 in 2 of people in the UK which now makes it highly likely that almost every person has had someone in their family who has battled through this horrible disease or have sadly lost a family member to it. We chose MacMillan cancer “Longest Day Of Golf” challange to help raise as much money as possible. This is to help make sure that MacMillan are able to provide services to people directly affected at all stages of their experience with cancer. Our Fairway To Heaven team consists of 4 good mates from all walks of life, but are all connected through the great game that we call golf and have unfortunately all went through similar situations with family members being lost to cancer. We will be completing our 72 hole challenge day across two different golf courses and have created rules for on the day that will also see us contribute extra money to our total money raised. For every ball lost on the course, we will add £5 to the total money raised. If one of us hit a hole in 1, as the captain, I will add £500 into the total funds. During the challange we are playing 2v2 and the losing team will add £250 into the total money raised. We are asking everyone to dig deep and donate as much as they can afford, to help be a part of making a difference. Every penny and pound counts and is greatly appreciated. Read less
