Phil has a friend who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer while she was pregnant, and she has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. She hasn’t had any cancer treatment yet due to covid-19 and MacMillan nurses will be overwhelmed in the next few months when treatments start again. Phil’s accountancy company is keen to sponsor his efforts to help raise awareness and funds for the charity and have already offered their support in a number of ways for this event. Roger’s father-in-law underwent surgery to remove colon cancer just over a year ago. He is recovering very well but we know there are many people who need support. There have been several cases of cancer in Roger’s wife’s family, and his wife also went through a cancer scare a couple of years ago. Roger has been a teacher for over twenty years and has seen the amazing support students and their families have received from MacMillan. This is a cause which is very close to both our hearts, and together we want to raise as much money for MacMillan as we can so that others can be supported through the most difficult times. … Read less
